The Cottage

  1. What I like about this study,is the fact that the owner has created a classic cottage garden. So often lovely cottages are spoiled by over landscaping.
We try to keep our grounds and garden in keeping with the country side around us,sort of cultivated wildness.I have been told we have every photographers dream here and it has been photographed a lot.

  2. I like the treatment Trevor. So much so you can expect to see me ripping your idea off.

  4. Yes I do agree with you on this one.
The owner is the National Trust and the cottage was where Thomas Hardy lived. The walk through woodland to the cottage is very nice and the garden full of old english flowers and shrubs is a delight. Inside it is quiet small and cramped.

  5. Hi Adrian.
I am only too happy to help.
The cottage I think is enhanced with the soft focus effect giving it a dreamlike quality.
    Worth a visit .

  6. Hi Jenean.
I may be wrong on this ...but I vaguely recall reading that the National Trust does allow accomodation during certain parts of the year.

  7. Hello Kathrin.
I should imagine you have things very similiar in parts of Germany. Naturally not quite so English but equally dreamlike.
